What subjects do you tutor in?

I specialize in Biology and Chemistry, but I am happy to support in learning across all contents.

How long have you been a tutor?

I have been a tutor for 9 years, but I started my education career in the classroom teaching Financial Literacy and Personal Finance to high school juniors and seniors in 2012.

What ages do you tutor?

I love working with college students!  However, I have experience tutoring elementary, middle school, and high school students.  I even tackled tutoring for the University of Mississippi’s Athletic Department, where I served as a lead Academic Tutor and Academic Strategist.

What type of schools have you taught at?

All types! Universities, high school, middle school, and elementary.  As well as public, private, charter, Catholic, and a homeschool group.

What degrees and certifications do you have?

• Biology Teaching Assistant at University of Mississippi and University of Alabama at Birmingham​

• Masters in Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham

• Bachelors of Chemistry, minor in English and Biology at the University of Mississippi

• Teach for America Corps Member

• Certified Teacher (Science 7-12)

• Completed additional training for Gifted and Talented, English as a Second Language, and Dyslexia.​

What educational achievements do you have?

My first year teaching I was named the Rising Star, best new teacher, at my school and recognized at a district banquet.  That year, my students scored the highest out of eight schools in the district.  This is a considerable accomplishment; it means out of all the schools in my district, and all of the students and teachers, my scholars were the best prepared for their state exams.
